Butterfly Blocks is a story of metamorphosis.

I’ve been making objects since I was a little girl, always with the thought of one day bringing a new product to life. This passion for making things led me to study Architecture, and then on to a successful career in Store Design and Engineering for a leading retailer.

Although I cherish my career, my passion for invention never faded. During a period of transition in my life, I realized I needed to pursue this goal of bringing a new product to life. I was about to become a single mom of two boys, and deeply desired to build something of my own.

The idea was born while driving across the Golden Gate Bridge. A single shape came to mind. This shape eventually transformed into The Butterfly. Not only was my life in transition, but I was also on a journey to realize my dream.

The blocks are simple, elegant, and reside at the intersection of art, sculpture and play; forever transformed by your imagination. They are a source of connection for the whole family, and build essential developmental skills. You won’t want to put them away, whether stacked on your coffee table, in the play room, or on your desk.

Ten years from that spark of an idea, The Butterflies launch. I am grateful to be able to share them with you.

Engage your hands, mind and three-dimensional thinking skills! Butterfly Blocks reside at the intersection of art, sculpture and play.

Block play builds fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, imagination, self-expression, mathematics skills, science and self-esteem.

The environment is important to us and that is why we manufacture our blocks in the USA. They are made from FDA approved food safe silicone. The wood is sourced sustainably and crafted by Amish woodworkers.
